Food Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Overview
We are seeking a motivated Food Production Supervisor to lead second-shift operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can motivate teams, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate second-shift production to meet schedules and customer demand
• Lead, train, and support production staff to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
• Monitor production performance, track metrics, and identify areas for improvement
• Partner with Quality Assurance to quickly resolve any product or process issues
• Ensure equipment is operating properly; coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance
• Maintain accurate production and shift reports
• Collaborate with first-shift leadership to ensure smooth shift transitions
• Troubleshoot operational challenges including staffing, delays, and quality concerns

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and OSHA standards preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build teams and manage conflict effectively
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Must be eligible to obtain a boiler operation license

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs
• Comfortable working around machinery and in varying temperatures (heat, steam, cold)
• Exposure to food production environments, including dust and allergens
